Membership with the Collective

The Greater Victoria Theatre Collective Society (VTC) was established in January 2025 to unite professional, amateur, and community theatre organizations in advocating for the needs of the broader theatre community.

Per our constitution, the purposes of the Society are:

  • To promote interest and skill in the arts of the theatre and advance the development of a thriving Victoria theatre community.

  • To facilitate communication and support collaboration within the Victoria theatre community.

  • To be inclusive, welcoming to, and representative of Victoria’s diverse community of theatre artists and support members in adapting industry best practices for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion measures.

  • To advocate for space, funding, and public support of local theatre initiatives.

  • To support the establishment and continued success of annual theatre awards in Victoria to celebrate success within our community.

Our three main goals for 2025 are to establish our membership structure, get our email list-serv operational, and establish the first edition of the Theatre Awards. As a collective of busy, community-engaged members, our priority is to grow sustainably and within our means.

We hope to have a broad range of members who are representative of Victoria’s diverse theatre community.
